Dan's Backcountry Charters
Ten Thousand Islands Area
Join me aboard my 17' flats skiff for a trip into the backcountry of the Ten Thousand Islands region on the Gulf Coast of Florida. We'll leave the crowds behind and sneak around the oyster bars and mangrove edges of the backcountry in search of redfish, snook, sea trout, jacks, tarpon, and lady fish.
You'll be up front, on the deck, ready to cast while I pole you to where fish are feeding in the skinny water of back bays and tidal rivers that seldom see fishermen.
The backcountry is beautiful and the bird life is spectacular not to mention the fish. The wilderness is on the water and I love to take people there.
Trips are for 1 or 2 people and include all tackle, fishing licenses and lunch.
Full day charters - $450.00
Two or more days - $400.00

Rookery Bay National Esturary
You'll spend the day at Rookery Bay Reserve. We'll go into the backcountry and fish for snook, redfish, jacks, lady fish, and spotted sea trout. An amazing world exists within the 36,000 acres of pristine mangrove forest and protected waters of Rookery Bay. A myriad of wildlife, including 150 species of birds and many threatened and endangered animals, thrive in the estuarine environment and surrounding upland hammocks and scrub found within the Reserve. I can't think of a nicer way to spend a day on the water, fishing and enjoying the natives. Bring your camera.
